Optimization of 3D printed PPF for Bone Tissue Engineering Applications
This research will involve the synthesis and 3D printing of biopolymers to create a bone construct that aims to reverse disease progression and reinstate long-term functionality. This research seeks to enhance current tissue-engineered scaffolds through the synthesis of new materials with mechanical properties comparable to that of the native tissue it is restoring. This research aims to create a bone scaffold that can be individually designed and modified per patient. This scaffold will allow for patient to regain motion, strength and ability and encourage native bone to regenerate and eventually replace the 3D printed scaffold. This research will contribute to the field of tissue engineering with further implications in the field of regenerative medicine.
